What Does 'Restrict' Mean on Instagram?

Instagram offers a useful feature that lets you protect yourself from bullying and unwanted comments. The other person won't even notice, though. We'll explain what “restrict” means on Instagram—and how it differs from blocking.

What is Instagram Restrict Feature

When you use the Instagram Restric, you gain more control over what you see from another person in the app—and what they see from you. The social network offers you this feature to help you avoid unwanted comments and interactions.

What’s the difference between restricting, blocking, and muting on Instagram?

On Instagram, you have various options for controlling whether and how you want to interact with other users. But how do these options differ?

When you use the “Restrict” feature on an Instagram profile, the other person won’t notice it right away. They can still see your posts, leave comments, and send you messages. You can still see what the other user posts or how they interact with you—but only if you choose to. Instagram Restric option is helpful if you still want to see what someone is doing on Instagram but want to keep control over it.
